Mackerel Fish Fry
Husband is out of town on work and I find it hard to cook only for myself. When I am alone I always prefer food that takes less time and effort to prepare. Yesterday I prepared this Mackerel fish fry which is really really simple yet gives the authentic taste.

Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Fish: 500 grams
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Oil: 3 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Clean and wash the fish.
- Rub some salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala (if using) on the fish and let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a nonstick pan.
- When the oil is hot add the fish one by one.
- Lower the heat and cover the pan. Cook for about 7-8 minutes on both sides or till it is brown in color.
- Serve by squeezing fresh lime juice on top of it.
